The comment that stuck with me after watching this interview is the statement that "intelligence is applied effort". I feel this quote is 100% true for me personally. I chose to do a pre-professional track for undergrad in order for me to be successful in vet school. Whenever I first came to Auburn, I thought I chose pre-vet to "get ahead" or beat other people, but now that I'm a junior I realize this is not the case. I am pre-vet because I want to work hard, learn everything I can, and understand animals so that I am able to be successful in vet school. I've learned so much and gained an incredible amount of knowledge these 3 years, but it has only been through hard work and grit, like Brad says, that have allowed me to do so.
