"Life is a team sport" is the quote that immediately stuck out to me. I'm the type of person who likes to get most things done on my own. I often want to work solo, lead a group project, micro-manage things, and try to make everything perfect. However, with a team, you can't control what everyone else is doing but must trust that they are doing their part. You have to have faith in others and be able to work together. I think that that Smith touches on the importance of working together and growing individaully within a group.

I'm the same way in that I typically want to work alone. Working alone means you know what's getting done and if it lives up to your standards. So, it is hard for me to live life with the mantra: "Life is a team sport"; however, I am aware that without colleagues, you will not get far in life. It is because of this that I am trying to learn to be better at getting help and trusting that I can rely on people.
