This quote from Dr. Kharraz encapsulates the essence of his message: build on your talents and encourage this within your team. He shared his personal story, which I relate to immensely, of pursuing medicine and realizing that he requires novelty and innovation instead of consistency. This is the exact reason I myself did not pursue medicine 2 years of being pre-med. It's also the reason I enrolled in this program. I have a passion for health and people, but know that my talents lie in idea creation and innovation communication, rather than in procedural expertise. I really appreciated his recognition of that and seeing how he has extrapolated this to encourage others to build on their talents and work hard at them to achieve excellence rather than simply doing what's expected or profitable.
